Job Title: Hospitality Talent Recruiter

Reports to: HR Director

Location: LIC, NY, Manhattan, NY and Bronx, NY In-office


Position Summary: We are a creative food solutions group dedicated to providing creative solutions to all aspects of the food business. We prioritize technology, creative design and strategic business decisions to help small and large operators find solutions to any problems they face while operating in the Big Apple and surrounding boroughs. But who will help find talent to join our company? That’s where you come in. We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Talent Recruiter to join our HR department.

This role requires you to work in both fulfillment centers located in LIC, NY and Bronx, NY.


Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospitality Talent Recruiter to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for identifying and developing talent, a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, and a proven track record of designing and implementing effective talent programs for employees at all levels.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement talent development initiatives that align with our business goals and foster employee advancement.
  • Conduct regular talent assessments to gauge the effectiveness of these initiatives and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Manage the full recruiting process independently, including researching and devising innovative sourcing strategies, evaluating candidates, advancing candidates through the hiring stages, coordinating interviews, and overseeing candidate experience and follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with applicant tracking systems and other business regulations.
  • Collaborate with various leadership teams, the HR Director, and the Director of Operations to create a strategic approach for filling current and future openings.
  • Regularly engage with passive candidates to build a robust external talent pool.
  • Work closely with department heads and managers to identify talent development needs and craft customized development plans.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team to effectively implement these plans.
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills to build trust and establish relationships with Kommissary’s corporate leadership and store operations teams.
  • Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in high-volume talent acquisition
  • Previous background in Talent Development
  • Experience with or exposure to high-volume operations, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven experience in designing and executing talent development programs, ideally within the hospitality sector
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt swiftly to evolving business needs
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of hospitality operations and its specific talent development requirements
  • Ability to respond promptly to urgent business needs and requests
  • Track record of working independently and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Skilled at collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Physical Demands: Generally, presents standard office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position >95% of the time. Continually operates a computer, keyboard and mouse, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and mobile Smartphone device. Constantly positions self to comfortably maintain computer equipment. May occasionally be required to move about in an office setting or position office equipment weighing between 10-25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Compensation & Benefits:

$80,000 - $100,000 annually, DOE
