Job Description

General Summary The Rope Access - NDE Technician is responsible for conducting standard rope access operations under the supervision of an authorized Level 3 rope access supervisor. The technician will utilize industrial rope access methods and equipment to perform inspections, maintenance, and other industrial tasks in difficult access areas. The role requires physical endurance, good communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly. Responsibilities may include rescue operations, technical reporting, and administrative duties. Work hours, locations, shifts, and assignments vary, and travel may be necessary. Essential Job Functions Maintain a safe environment by following safety standards, practices, and legal regulations, and alert others to hazards. Perform assigned duties in line with TEAM's Core Values and Critical Choices. Use proper personal protective equipment at all times. Follow directions from Rope Access Supervisor or Lead Technician. Respect heights and adhere to OSHA, site-specific, and TEAM safety procedures. Understand work permits and participate in hazard analyses. Engage in required training and certification to stay current with safe rope access practices. Follow TEAM rope access policies and the Rope Access Code of Practice. Inspect and verify rope access systems before use. Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions to the Supervisor. Maintain rescue proficiency and assist in rescues as directed and certified. Job Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 18 years old. IRATA / SPRAT certification. NDT/NDE certification is preferred. Willingness to travel. Ability to work at heights. Work Conditions Outdoor field work in varying weather conditions. Interaction with crew, supervisors, and clients. Work around machinery with high noise levels. Wear safety equipment as required. Multiple job sites per day and climate tolerance. Periodic out-of-town travel may be required. Physical and Mental Requirements Lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Perform physical activities like climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping. Move and set up inspection equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Work on ladders, scaffolding, and at heights over 100 ft. Extended hours and standing. Work in extreme heat or cold environments. Operate in industrial hazards. Effective communication skills. Mobility and reflexes for office duties and travel. Focus and multitasking ability. Responsible and sensible behavior. Meet IRATA/SPRAT certification standards. Equal Opportunity Employer.
