Job Title: Manual Machinist (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Pomona, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Pomona, CA on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating conventional/manual machines, performing setups, and working with precision to meet blueprint specifications. This role is well-suited for someone who takes pride in accuracy, craftsmanship, and working in a steady first-shift environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate conventional/manual machines to produce high-quality parts.
Edit machining programs as needed to achieve desired specifications.
Work to precise dimensions and tolerances provided by blueprints.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
Perform accurate measurements using tape measures, micrometers, and other precision tools.
Apply strong math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Qualifications:
Experience running conventional/manual machines (lathe, mill, or similar).
Ability to edit machining programs.
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
Good mathematical aptitude for precise measurements.
Ability to use tape measures and precision measuring tools accurately.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work.
