North Idaho College is seeking an Adjunct Professor of Anthropology to join our dedicated faculty team and inspire students through dynamic, student-centered teaching. This position is responsible for teaching up to 9 credits per semester, with possible courses including Introduction to Anthropology, Cultural Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, and Introduction to Archaeology. The successful candidate will prepare engaging lectures, assignments, and assessments that encourage critical thinking and exploration of human societies past and present. Responsibilities include developing syllabi, maintaining accurate records, submitting grades on time, and holding office hours to support student learning and advising. Adjunct faculty actively participate in curriculum development, outcomes assessment, and program improvement to strengthen student success. Collaboration with colleagues in division meetings, contributing to program review and accreditation efforts, and staying current with instructional technologies are also important aspects of this role. We are seeking candidates with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to inclusive and accessible education, and the ability to foster a supportive classroom environment.
